MC^2® Silicon Nitride

Beginning with a proprietary blend of silicon nitride powder, Amedica is able to produce interbody fusion devices that are 20x stronger than PEEK (data on file) with a microporous, hydrophilic surface. Radiographically, silicon nitride implants are radiolucent with clearly visible boundaries, and produce no MRI or CT imaging artifacts - a major advantage for inter-operative implant placement and post-op assessment. MC² is strong, lightweight, resists deformation, and provides the foundation for Amedica's spinal and reconstructive products.
