Dynamic Bone

Dynamic Bone is demineralized cancellous bone that has been compressed into small wedges that can be placed into fenestrations. The bone can then be hydrated to expand. Dynamic Bone wicks up and absorbs liquid; once implanted, the bone fully expands to its original size while in the surgical site. For example, a 5x8x4mm compressed wedge will expand to a 8x10x10 hydrated sponge. This expansion allows for intimate contact of allograft and host bone after implantation, making up for any endplate imperfections.
